L is for Lemonade …
Jalapeño Lemonade!
Okay, so now you probably think I’m crazy right? Well trust me on this one. It is amazing, refreshing with just a hint of zing!
Ingredients:
2 cups fresh lemon juice, fresh squeezed
7 cups water, ice cold
1 cup granulated sugar
2 lemons, sliced into rounds
1 jalapeno, fresh
8 cups ice, for serving
Directions:
1. Stir water, freshly squeezed lemon juice and sugar until sugar is dissolved.
2. Add lemon rounds to mixture.
3. With sharp knife, poke 5-10 holes in whole jalapeno and add to lemonade.
4. Put in fridge to chill for 30 minutes.
5. Serve over ice.
Enjoy!
Tips: Leave Jalapeño in the lemonade for 4-8 hours for a mild flavor, more for a more intense zing. I usually leave mine in for 10 hours.
Let me know what you think, when you try it?
