It can be hard to pick a great theme for a little ones birthday party. Here are some ideas of fun & interactive birthday party themes.
Fun & Interactive Birthday Party Themes!
Having three boys I have hosted my share of theme parties. With every year it got harder and harder to come up with the perfect theme. Here are some products that would fit perfectly into the below theme ideas.
Making your child’s birthday party stand out is not only fun for the planner, but creates lasting memories that your children will have for the rest of their lives. For those stumped on where to start, I’ve included some starting off points and perfect gifts/products to go along and amp up your theme.
I hope that this list will help you. What party themes have you had?
Storybook Inspo
Choose your child’s favorite storybook and build a party around its characters and plot! Everything from games, gifts, to party decor can center around the stories you tell your children every night before bed.
Pete the Cat Missing Cupcakes Game
My youngest was a big fan of Pete the Cat books. Every now and then I still catch him reading the copies of books he has. My nieces are still big fans and they absolutely loved this game. They are 3 and 5 and easily get bored of sitting still when playing board games. This game however was great, it kept them engaged the entire time!
Pete the Cat Missing Cupcakes Game is a game that keeps younger children enthralled. Players collect colorful cupcakes as they sing songs, act out physical activities, and identify favorite animals, foods, and words in this fun board game.
Favorite Animal Costume Party
Invite your child’s party attendees to dress up as their favorite animal or pet and bring an animal-centric gift tied to their choice.
Playfoam® Pals™ Pet Party
My boys who are 7, 12, and 13 all love playing with Playfoam, they also love toys that they can open and find a surprise inside. If you follow our blog then you have seen many of these toys. You can see what I’m talking about here. So I knew that Playfoam Pals were going to be a hit with my boys! We received both the green and yellow Playfoam pod, both had a surprise toys inside. Inside one pod we found green Playfoam and in the middle of the Playfoam there was a giraffe. In the other pod we received yellow Playfoam and a lion. We really liked that each toy was individually wrapped. This is great because there wasn’t any Playfoam stuck to them, making them easy to open.
Playfoam® Pals™ Pet Party is the perfect activity to have an animal themed party. Open a world of Playfoam® and find a surprise inside this fun-filled 6 pack of Playfoam Pals! Hidden within each pod of dual-color Playfoam, a mystery collectible (and totally adorable) animal Pal awaits.

Pop for Sight Words™ Game
This past Saturday we had a family movie night (see more about that here) that also included games. We got to play this one and had such a great time playing it! We did change up a couple of the rules. Especially the “pop” card one. The instructions say that whoever picks this card loses all of their cards. My nieces and my boys didn’t like this, so we changed it. We changed it to whoever picks it up has to say as many words as they can that start with the letters P or O.
Reach into this fun box to practice alphabet recognition and beginning letter sounds. A great grab-and-go game!

Picking a theme is part of the fun.
Great ideas, I love the games, I have to get some of those. I love the Little Snowie 2, how beautiful for a Frozen party. I have 2 Grandchildren a girl and boy. So I can use all these. Thanks for sharing.
I love these party ideas! A winter themed birthday party would be very unique. Making homemade shaved ice for it sounds like a lot of fun.
