Healthy clean air is a must in my home, so why shouldn’t it be the same when I’m in the car. I recently had the chance to try out the Atem Car Air Purifier from IQAir. Here are my thoughts on it.

A lot of us know that there are lots of toxins and pollution in our air. But did you know that the air in our cars contains lots of toxic fumes and gases? I honestly had no idea. I really never thought about having an air purification system for my car. Not sure why I hadn’t thought about it, I mean I have purifiers in my home.

Earlier in the month I received an email from IQAir® to see if I would be interested in receiving the Atem® Car Air Purifier to try out, and share my thoughts with you. Before agreeing I did some research to see if it would be something that would be beneficial for both you and me.

During my research I visited the IQAir website, it wasn’t until I visited their site that I learned just how dangerous the air in our cars can be. I also learned just how many benefits the Atem Car Air Purifier offers. For example: The Atem Car air purifier and its revolutionary HyperHEPA® Plus filter use air filtration technology tested and certified to capture a wide range of in-cabin air pollutants.

Their website totally sold me on this system. So I agreed to test it out and waited for my unit to arrive.

The unit itself was bigger than I expected, however it is nice and slim. It has a really sleek design that blends in really well. It also came with a car accessory kit to help with installing the unit in my vehicle. As you can see in the picture above the kit included the mount, strap, and power supply cord.

The strap and mount go together and it is super easy to put together. All you have to do is push the strap through the slits on the mount, wrap the strap once on the little headrest poles, and through the buckle to hold the unit in place. For a better idea just take a look at my video here.

The unit itself is also super easy to attach to the mount. It simply snaps right on. The mount has a button on each side of it that you press in order to release the unit.

The power supply cord is nice and long and plugs in easily to both my cigarette lighter and the mount.

One of the things I really like about the Atem Car Air Purifier is the Atem App. You can easily sync your unit to the app to control the fan speed as well as keep an eye on the filter to see when it will need replacing. The app is available for both IOS and Android, which means anyone can use it.

After having the Atem Car Air Purifier installed for a week I was already thrilled with it. The design of the unit really is great. I thought that by installing it on the headrest it would bother me, but it doesn’t bother me one bit! While the unit is not completely silent, it is quiet. Even on the highest setting it doesn’t have a sound that is annoying, distracting or bothersome.

Before installing the unit I was constantly dusting out my car. Now dust is no longer an issue. Plus my car has a nice freshness to it. It’s not a scent of any kind, but a clean crisp feeling when you breathe in. I have gotten compliments on how clean my car air feels from anyone that rides in my car. My friends are always saying “I really feel like I can breathe”!

Bottom line: the Atem Car Air Purifier has really exceeded all of my expectations. I am truly thrilled to have it in my car! This is definitely a product that I would recommend. Not only for what it does, but also because the quality and the build of the product is amazing. If you are considering getting an air purification system for your vehicle, definitely give the Atem Car Air Purifier a try.
