Disclosure of no compensation: Healthy Bowls to Kick Off the New Year

I don’t know about you but I love smoothie bowls! Initially I didn’t know if I would like them, the term “smoothie bowl” just didn’t sound all that appealing to me. When I actually tried one a couple years ago (at my bestie’s insistence) I immediately loved them.

Recently I received an email from Reveri, with three recipes asking if I would be interested in sharing them with you. I looked them over and knew I would love them. You know that if it’s a recipe I would be willing to try (or have tried and loved) then I have to share it with you.

Reveri is a plant-based frozen dessert that makes the perfect base for easy yet healthy smoothie bowls. For more information on Reveri, please visit Reveri.com. I hope that you enjoy these recipes as much as I know I will.

Healthy Smoothie Bowls to Kick Off the New Year

Maca Mocha Reveri Bowl

Serves 1

We love combing the healthy ingredients of Reveri’s Chocolate Forest with Maca root. Maca is a good source of carbs and protein, low in fat and contains a fair amount of fiber. It’s also high in some essential vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin C, copper and iron. Furthermore, it contains various plant compounds, including glucosinolates and polyphenols (1, 3, 4). Reveri Chocolate Forest boosts nutrient-rich ingredients such as dates, Belgian cocoa, avocado, organic raw cocoa nibs, and beet powder delivering energy, nutrition and creamy deliciousness.

Ingredients

1 large frozen banana
1/2 cup Chocolate Almond Milk, plus more if necessary
2 scoops or about 1/3 pint of Chocolate Forrest Reveri
1 packet instant coffee, if desired-(you can make this just a chocolate bowl by eliminating the coffee)
1/2 cup spinach
1 full teaspoon Maca powder
2-3 ice cubs
Optional toppings
Almond Butter
Granola
Sliced Toasted Almonds
Chia seeds or flax seeds
Sliced Bananas
Fresh Strawberries
Coconut flakes
Chocolate chips or cocoa nibs (only if you like a big boost- remember Reveri has cocoa nibs)

Directions

Add all ingredients except toppings to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. You will want your smoothie to be fairly thick so that you can eat it with a spoon. If needed add a few extra ice cubes.
Pour into a bowl and top with desired toppings

  1. I still haven’t tried a smoothie bowl yet, but they sound delicious! I love how many different flavor combinations you can make! Thank you so much for sharing these recipes. 🙂

  2. I’m vegan & a smoothie lover so this caught my eye as soon as I saw it. Unfortunately I burned up my blender making paper so have to get a new one to give these bowls a try, but definitely in my future!
