The Floor is Lava! Game from Endless Games

This game was a huge hit in our home. We took it out over Thanksgiving and everyone (even the adults) had a blast! This game brings everything you need to have fun.

The Floor is Lava! Game from Endless Games

Inside the box we found the spinner, the foam “safety stones”, challenge cards, and instructions.

This game is super easy to play. You first have to pick someone to be the spinner, this person is also in charge of the challenge cards and removing the “safety stones”. The challenge cards are super fun cards, that have activities on them that can make it difficult not to fall into the lava when landing on the designated “safety stones”. The object of the game is to be the last player “Alive” by not falling into the lava.

When everyone is ready, the first “spinner” yells out “THE FLOOR IS LAVA!” and all players rush to stand on the closest foam “safety stones” they can find, regardless of color. Then, all players have to rush to jump on the “safety stone” of the color that the spinner lands on next. Whoever is last to reach safety has their original “safety stone” removed from the game. It gets harder and more fun the longer the game is played. Whenever a player cannot successfully reach a “safety stone”, or if any part of a player’s body touches the floor, he or she is out and has to take over the responsibilities of the spinner person.

Some of the foam stones have a “?” on it, whenever a player lands on one of these stones they get a challenge card. The challenge must be performed without falling into the lava (aka the floor) or that person will be out. Some of the challenges include touching your toes, standing on one foot, and moving to the next unoccupied stone of a designated color. When there is only player left, the game is over and that person is the winner!

What an awesome concept for a game! I remember pretending that the floor was lava when I was a kid all of time, and now my kids do it too. This is definitely one that I want to get. Thank you so much for sharing!
