Keep Your Kids' minds Engaged This Summer

In the summer we do a lot of prepping for the new school year. You have to keep your kids’ minds engaged after all. We start with summer reading and then we always also do activities that are fun and educational. This year I have my nieces over the house a lot. Which is great because my oldest niece Milly starts Kindergarten . In my sister’s house they only speak Spanish, and Milly’s babysitter also only speaks Spanish. While that is great (I grew up like that too and because of it I am fluent in Spanish) now that she is starting Kindergarten she needs to have the basics down in English.

I like to make learning fun so when I found out about Offshoot Books I knew these would be perfect for her. Here are two great books from the Offshoot Books 2017 Catalog

Patty’s Little Handbook Of Dots

I really liked this book. It makes learning her numbers and letters fun and entertaining. Aside from being a dot-to-dot book it also has little facts at the bottom of every page.

After completing the dot-to-dot the images are nice, and big enough for my niece to color. So there are lots of ways to use this book.

My First 500 Words, I Got Them!

This is another great book for my niece. In her case she knows what the pictures are and we have to teach her the English word. But this book is also perfect for those little ones learning their first words.

I liked that all of the images in this book are colorful and show in detail what each image is. Every image also has the name of it written right below. Which makes this book great for those little ones learning to read.
