M is for MOCHA!!! And here is a recipe for a smoothie that I absolutely adore.
If you have been hanging out with me for a while then you know that one of my weaknesses are smoothies. I could live drinking smoothies… 😀 Here is my ultimate favorite smoothie, the MOCHA-NANA SMOOTHIE!
It’s a creamy and delicious smoothie made with the wonderful flavors of mocha and banana. This is a smoothie that transfers me to my childhood visits to Guatemala. Every time I would go to Guate, my grandmother would get me a Choco-banano as soon as we got there. A Choco-banano is simply a chocolate covered frozen banana. Â Sigh…okay enough reminiscing and on to the recipe.
Ingredients:
12 oz of coffee-flavored yogurt
2 medium bananas, sliced
¼ cup chocolate syrup
2 cups low-fat milk
1½ cups crushed ice
Directions:
1. Combine yogurt, bananas, chocolate syrup, milk and ice in a blender.
2. Cover and pulse until everything is smooth.
Make sure to scrape down the sides as needed.
Enjoy!
I love peanut butter banana smoothies but I haven’t made one if forever. Maybe I’ll make one today!
Mmm peanut butter and banana, that sounds delicious! Maybe I should try one of those. 🙂
Wonder if it would work hot, an alternative hot chocolate?
I haven’t tried it hot, but that sounds heavenly!!! I will definitely have to try in the winter,, let me know if you try it before I do. 🙂
