Mocha-nana Smoothie

M is for MOCHA!!! And here is a recipe for a smoothie that I absolutely adore.

mocha-nanaSmoothie

If you have been hanging out with me for a while then you know that one of my weaknesses are smoothies. I could live drinking smoothies… 😀 Here is my ultimate favorite smoothie, the MOCHA-NANA SMOOTHIE!

It’s a creamy and delicious smoothie made with the wonderful flavors of mocha and banana. This is a smoothie that transfers me to my childhood visits to Guatemala. Every time I would go to Guate, my grandmother would get me a Choco-banano as soon as we got there. A Choco-banano is simply a chocolate covered frozen banana.  Sigh…okay enough reminiscing and on to the recipe.

Ingredients:

12 oz of coffee-flavored yogurt

2 medium bananas, sliced

¼ cup chocolate syrup

2 cups low-fat milk

1½ cups crushed ice

Directions:

1. Combine yogurt, bananas, chocolate syrup, milk and ice in a blender.

2. Cover and pulse until everything is smooth.

Make sure to scrape down the sides as needed.

Enjoy!

Wonder if it would work hot, an alternative hot chocolate?
