Yesterday we spent the day at Belkin Family Lookout Farm for peach picking.
When we arrived we were greeted by smiling employees in the parking lot who directed us to our designated parking spot.
We then proceeded to the entrance to pay for admission and our bag for picking. The prices for both are good, Small bag (5 lbs) costs $9.00 – Medium bag (10 lbs) costs $16.00 and Large bag (25 lbs) costs $28.00 which averaged between $1.50 – $2.00 per pound depending on the size of the bag you choose. As for Admission we paid $8.00 per person and kids under 2 are free. The cashier was friendly and knowledgeable. She made sure we knew what was available for picking and where to take the train that brings you to the orchards.
The train that takes you to the orchards is long allowing for plenty of passengers. And they run one right after another, so there isn’t much of a wait.
On the train you will ride through the orchards with beautiful views
to the first stop which was the children’s play area. It had lots of fun things and was where we spent most of our day.
Take a visit with the animals.
Or find your way thru the burlap maze.
The boys had lots of fun
on the hay pyramid
They also have lots of covered tables
There is a cute tree house
A big playground
As well as entertainment and food.
They also have a hay ride that takes you to the highest point on the farm. Where they stop to let you take pictures of the beautiful view. The staff on the ride are knowledgeable and they share information about the farm and it’s history.
Then it was time to go picking. The farm had lots of rows of fruit trees.
All clearly labeled with the name and
information on the fruit.
The peaches were sweet and juicy and
had beautiful color.
We had so much fun! And highly recommend visiting. Either for picking, playing, or both.
