Designed for students age 12 and above, Evolution’s learn-while-playing tutorial makes it easy to pick up.
In Evolution, students adapt species to survive in a changing ecosystem. Counter scarce food by growing a long neck to access sustenance in the trees above. Fend off predators by adapting a hard shell. Added traits realistically affect ecosystems in ways that mirror the natural world. For example, overabundant plant food leads to overpopulation, which then draws myriad carnivores, which thins the herd and forces other species to develop new defenses.
Explore the mysterious creatures of Evolution Island’s 21 different ecosystems, each with their own ecology. A new challenge arrives every week to test a student’s skill at adapting. At the end of each game, view beautiful drawings of one of the creatures created. In addition to the feature-rich single-player, students can play together with either pass and play or online multiplayer modes.
Evolution: Education Edition has a number of changes from the original Evolution Board Game. Trait tips provide real-life, natural examples of in-game traits. Easy account switching allows classes of students to play on the same machine. Easily find matches with cross-platform online play compatible with all versions of Evolution, and the removal of online chat protects students. Families can use Family Sharing to make sure everyone joins in the fun.
