White Leaf Baby Food ~ Biodynamic, Organic & GMO-Free
When my boys were little they always had veggies incorporated into their diets. Now that they are older it’s the same, except that I have to be more sneaky about it. My youngest however absolutely loves having his veggies in pouches (as long as they taste good). So when I was contacted by White Leaf Provisions to see if I wanted to give their Biodynamic baby food a try I was intrigued and accepted.
My son was not the only reason I wanted to give these a try. I was preparing to get Duodenal Switch surgery and knew that I would have to eat soft blended foods for a bit. These pouches would give me the nutrients and the food consistency I needed.
After finding out more about the company I liked that White Leaf’s vision is that kids (and adults) should have access to pure foods that taste amazing and are farmed in a manner that does not jeopardize the future of our planet, instead, healing it.
White Leaf’s food is so much more than being organic and GMO-free. All biodynamic farms work to be self-reliant and regenerative. All US biodynamic growers replace all chemicals with natural farm manufactured compost and herbal sprays. Their farmers follow a truly organic approach to farming, promoting biodiversity and letting mother nature take the lead in every aspect of their fruit’s life. Most importantly, the food is formulated with a child’s pallet and nutritional needs in mind.
Besides their farming methods, I liked that their line of baby food offers parents complete purity and transparency, transforming how we feed our children.
The pouches come in four yummy flavors: Mango, Carrot, Banana & Pear, Apple, Sweet Potato & Beet, Pear, Banana & Kiwi, Carrot, Sweet Potato & Pea.
Mattie and I both tried them and thought they were all delicious. They were definitely better than we expected, which was a great surprise!
We also got the chance to try their biodynamic apple sauce. This one was tried by all three of the boys and myself. The apple sauce is available in two delicious flavors: Apple & Pear, and Apple & Ceylon Cinnamon. My favorite of the two is the Apple & Ceylon Cinnamon, while all three of the boys preferred the Apple & Pear. I really liked that this apple sauce has a homemade look to it. It’s darker and thinner than store-bought apple sauce.
Bottom Line: After trying everything we knew that this was definitely a product we would like to continue to have in our home.
