Everything But The Bagel Spice Mix Review
After my surgery, I have been looking for the “all use” spice mix. I have heard about the different brands of “Everything But The Bagel” spice mix. And how everyone in the WLS community absolutely loves it. I have tried several of them but haven’t found one that I truly loved. Don’t get me wrong, some were good but I guess I’m just picky.
Before surgery, my absolute favorite bagel was the Everything Bagel. So I think that I’ve been using that memory of the flavor when trying out the several different mixes. But none had met that expectation.
A few weeks ago I received an email asking if I would be willing to give the Everything But The Bagel Spice Mix from Pereg a try. I had not yet given this one a try so I agreed. I was surprised to see that the product comes in a big 5.3 oz shaker.
The top has two sides to use for sprinkling the spice mix onto anything you want. Depending on how much product you want, that’s the side you use. I have given both sides a try and find that the bigger of the two is my favorite. It dispenses a pretty equal amount of all the spices. When I use the smaller side I tend to get mostly poppy seeds.
You can also unscrew the top so you can measure out the product. Taking the top off also gave me a nice visual of the product. I loved seeing all the different spices that are used.
My number one way of testing is with cottage cheese. I sprinkled some in and gave it a good mix. Oh my goodness was it perfect! It tasted just like the name says “Everything but the Bagel”! I couldn’t believe it, had I finally found the mix I was looking for?
Over the next few days, I tried it on several different things like eggs, in hummus, and cream cheese. But my absolute favorite way was when I sprinkled it on steak strips.
It came out flavorful and absolutely delicious. Paired it with a salad and we had a perfect dinner. I am so happy to have found this mix from Pereg. I will be purchasing more of it.

I’ve been seeing this advertised a lot lately. It sounds yummy.
I love this stuff and use it on so much as well! I have never tried it on steak or chicken before though, I am definitely going to have to try this now. Thank you so much for sharing!
