I have always wanted to try Bible journaling, however I wanted to learn how to do it properly. Bible Journaling Made Simple has great tips.
Bible Journaling Made Simple
If you have ever wanted to do bible journaling but didn’t know where to start, this is definitely a great book to begin with. Up until now when I thought of Bible journaling I thought it was just jotting down notes on the side of the Bible. While this has worked for me, I have been wanting to do more. The Bible I use, and love is NIV, Holy Bible for Girls, Journal Edition. I like that this Bible is hardcover and has an elastic to keep it closed. Another great thing is that there’s plenty of room to write on the sides. Keep in mind that the font size is small, but that helps to not make it too bulky. This is great for me because it’s size makes it easy to take along.
Okay so back to Bible journaling, I looked up to see what Bible journaling truly was and was both amazed and inspired. I have come to learn that Bible journaling isn’t about the outcome, it’s about the process. Focus on connecting with scripture and your belief, and the skill will come with time.
I worried that to start I would need art supplies, but that isn’t the case. Honestly all you truly need to get started is a Bible and a pen. If you want to elaborate more then you can try colored pens, colored pencils, and so much more. That is what I liked the most about Bible Journaling Made Simple: An Art-Filled Journey for Creative Worship. In this book I was taught which mediums are best and was given templates I could use. This book is packed full of information and inspiration. If you’re curious about Bible Journaling and don’t know how to start, this book is for you.
