New Colorful Dean Russo Journals Review

I have kept a journal since I was about 10 years old. I especially dove into it when boyfriends came into the picture. My journal held all of my secrets, unexpressed feelings and emotions. I can honestly say that journaling has by far been the number one factor to everything I’ve done well in my life. For many it is a hard thing to do, but once you start it can flow like a mighty river. By writing about what I believe in, why I believe it, how I feel, etc, have given me a better understanding who I am.

When it comes to my journals I look for ones that are plain on the inside, but colorful and inviting on the outside. That’s why these new Dean Russo journals are absolutely perfect for me. Inside these journals are acid-free 200-year paper. Which makes it perfect for either pen or pencil. I love that the pages are lined and have a simple place for a date and nothing else. I love this because I can write and even doodle if I please!

I was grateful to have received three different designs! The cat you see above, a Labrador, and one with a skull.

As you can see all of them are super colorful. These aren’t all the designs available, there is also an adorable pit bull, a Shiva cat, a chihuahua, a Dog is Love one, and a skull mosaic one. These journals are well bound and have a generous amount of pages. I am so in love with these journals and I can’t wait to get the ones that I am missing to have all of them.

You can find Dean Russo journals at Fox Chapel Publishing and Amazon.

Dean Russo, Brooklyn-based artist is currently one of the biggest names in the pop art world. Known for his signature pet portraits, his bold paintings explode with color. He recently kicked off the launch of his new journal series by signing copies of his Dog is Love journal at the NY Stationery Show.

The story behind Russo’s classic kitties and dynamic dogs is a humbling tale of animal rescue awareness. Russo would visit shelters and ask for photos of adoptable pets to paint. He would then donate proceeds from the paintings back to the shelter. Shortly after this activity, both he and his unique paintings developed an impressive following.
