Our Ride On The Polar Express™ Train Ride

2017-disclosure

This past weekend we were invited aboard  The Polar Express™ Train Ride! We were invited to experience Diamond Class seating. Which includes: heated rail cars with restrooms, Upper Dome car – tabled seating, larger than normal windows, complimentary keepsake mug, and a visit from Santa with a gift of a silver Christmas bell.

We have always wanted to ride on The Polar Express™ Train Ride, but things come up and we hadn’t. I have to admit,  this was the perfect year! That’s because my youngest is 5 and he was completely mesmerized by all the magical moments The Polar Express™ Train Ride had to offer.

It all started with the golden ticket.

Just like in the book and movie all kids receive a golden ticket to board the train.

Once on board it was like we stepped onto a Christmas wonderland. The lighting and decorations really added a great Christmas feeling. We loved the table seating we were given. It was perfect for the 6 of us and since we were facing the middle of the train, we didn’t miss a thing!

Right before we started to move the music to The Polar Express™ filled the train. Then the conductor came by to punch the first letter of each child’s name on to the golden ticket. Shortly after the conductor, we were given hot cocoa and chocolate chip cookies. While the chefs were passing out our treats they danced along with the Hot Chocolate song. Once we had received our treats we got to hear the story of The Polar Express™. During the story the chefs came by with the The Polar Express™ book so we could all see the pictures!

Right before we arrived at the “North Pole” we were told to look out the window. It was amazing to see the smiles on my boys (daddy included) as we were waved to by Santa and his elves.

It was time for the First Gift Of Christmas!

Santa and his elves came aboard the train. Santa gave each of the kids a silver Christmas bell, just like in the movie! I love this picture of Mattie receiving his gift from Santa. You can see the amazement in his eyes.

The elves made sure we had a blast while we sang and danced along with them. We even danced in a Christmas conga line. It was so much fun!

To wrap things up we were able to take home these great The Polar Express™ keepsake mugs! My boys all came off the The Polar Express™ Train Ride believing even more in all of the magic of Christmas!

The Polar Express™ Train Ride was really a fun and magical experience. I highly recommend you go for a ride and enjoy all the fun & magic. It’s an unforgettable experience that I know will remain in our hearts for years to come.

THE POLAR EXPRESS Film

The Academy Award winning team of Tom Hanks and director Robert Zemeckis reunite for THE POLAR EXPRESS, an inspiring adventure based on the beloved children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg.  When a doubting young boy takes an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole, he embarks on a journey of self-discovery that shows him that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe. Sony Pictures Imageworks and visual effects supervisor Ken Ralston, Oscar winners for their innovative work, help bring the story vividly to the screen in full CG animation through Imageworks’ next-generation motion capture process that allows live-action performances to drive the emotions and movements of the digital characters. Warner Home Video will once again offer THE POLAR EXPRESS in standard-definition, Blu-ray and 3D DVD versions this holiday season.

THE POLAR EXPRESS Book

THE POLAR EXPRESS film is based on Chris Van Allsburg’s classic Christmas picture book, which tells the story of a boy who takes a magical Christmas Eve train ride to the North Pole to receive a special gift from Santa. First published by Houghton Mifflin Company in 1985, The Polar Express became an instant family favorite and has sold more than 6 million copies worldwide. In 1986 it won the prestigious Caldecott Medal for Illustration.

It sounds like you all had such a wonderful time. I wish we had it here so my grandchildren could ride on it. I know they would love it so much.
