About the Book
Ex-professional baseball player Jake Longly adamantly refuses to work for his father, wanting no part of Ray’s PI world. He prefers to hang out at his beachfront bar and chase bikinis along the sugary beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama. But Ray could be persuasive, so Jake finds himself staking out the home of wealthy Barbara Plummer, a suspected adulteress. The mission seems simple enough—hang around, take a few pictures, sip a little bourbon. Except Barbara gets herself murdered right under Jake’s nose. When Jake launches into an investigation of his target’s homicide, he quickly runs afoul of Ukrainian mobster Victor Borkov. Aided by his new girlfriend Nicole Jemison and Tommy “Pancake” Jeffers, his behemoth employee with crazy computer skills, Jake tries to peel away the layers of the crime. The deeper the intrepid trio delves, the more murders start to pile up, leading them to Borkov’s massive yacht—where they just might be deep-sixed.About the Author

I just finished reading the appropriately titled book Deep Six by the award-winning author D. P. Lyle. This action packed read has it all; murder, revenge, sex, money, and power. This cleverly written story contains a plethora of interesting and realistic characters that kept me turning pages long into the night. A story with unexpected edge of your seat experiences about the womanizing hard drinking son of a popular private investigator. When Jake has been agreed to keep an eye on one of his father’s female accounts little did he know that he would soon be exposed to the violent underworld of Ukrainian Mobsters. The author is a suspenseful storyteller with a great writing style that caught me off guard and frequently surprised me with twists in the characters actions and plot. I enjoyed the who done it tension that was incorporated into the story as the, at times, cast of dark actors pursued money, control, and power. Excellent descriptive writing that brings authenticity to this entertaining read. While reading this story, I couldn’t help but think this could be a good movie. I am looking forward to more great stories from this talented author.
