Prep Dish Meal Plans Review

Prep Dish has delicious gluten-free & Paleo dishes.

Disclosure

You guys can guess that I LOVE to cook. I love food and everything involved in making a delicious dish! I also love coming up with my own recipes. Time however doesn’t always cooperate with me. I gotta admit I always say I want to set aside one day and just prep everything I’m going to need for the week. Unfortunately I hardly ever get to do that because It’s hard for me sometimes to come up with a whole week of food in one day. Don’t get me wrong, I like knowing what I’m going to be making. I just don’t always have the time. That’s where Prep Dish has come in and completely saved me!

Last month Prep Dish offered to give me a couple months of their service for me to try out and see if I liked it enough to share with you guys. In case you haven’t heard about them (I had not until I was offered their service) Prep Dish offers gluten-free and Paleo meal plans that are sent to you via email. Prep Dish was created by registered dietitian and trained chef Allison Schaaf. She created Prep Dish to help make healthy eating easy and enjoyable.

I get my email every Friday and it has the entire month’s meals (each week has 4 meals, a salad, a breakfast, a snack and a dessert) along with Allison’s Tips, Bonus breakfasts and/or other great extra’s. I am so happy with Prep Dish! It has made everything easier, from shopping, prepping and cooking.  Wondering how it makes shopping easier? Well…

Grocery List

They have the grocery list which has everything you need for all your meals that week broken down by category. I had never broken down my shopping list like this before. I honestly don’t know why I hadn’t, it makes total sense and soooo easy! Plus I really like that I can access it from my phone, so I don’t have to write it down and worry about misplacing the list.

Next up on the list is prepping.

prep day

I usually do my prepping the same day I do my grocery shopping. That way I only put away things once. In the emails and on the Prep Dish website it says that prepping should take about 2-3 hours. That is absolutely right, it usually takes me close to 2 hours.

So far there has been several favorite meals. One of those was their idea for a Valentine’s Day meal. It was for a salt-crusted fish! Oh my goodness that fish was amazing!

Bottom line: This service is great! I have been so happy with the ingredients used in all the recipes and didn’t feel like I had to modify anything. This is huge for me because normally I end up modifying most recipes I come across. The fact that the meals are designed by a registered dietitian lets me know that I’m getting a fully balanced meal.

Prep Dish has two different plans you can sign up for: a monthly plan at $14 per month and an annual plan for $99 per year. Honestly I think the prices are great given all the recipes you will receive. Plus Prep Dish takes all the guesswork out of planning to eat healthy meals at home.
