You guys already know that I have an oximeter for the boys, but I like to have separate devices fro my own use. That’s where this little device comes in. For starters I love how it’s pink. I also like that when I show it to my friends, they both liked it and just had to try it. I have a cold right now that is cause me trouble with my breathing so my heart is working harder than it should. And this Oximeter showed that and counted my pulse exactly. I took it manually to check.
I really like that you can set up alarms on it. It defaults the alarms when the oxygen level is higher than 100% and lower than 94%. It will also go off for a pulse rate high of 130 and low of 50. Which are perfect defaults for adults. Everything is operated by a single button but it is done by long clicks and short clicks. A long click will get you into the menu and a short click will change which item you are modifying. So the short click will move you from Sp02 Alm Hi to SP02 Alm Lo. You move down the chart and then use a long click when you are on the item you want in order to modify the number which will set off the alarm. There is also a menu to determine if the alarm is on or not. In that menu, you can turn off the beep that it makes when you turn it on, set it to demo mode, or restore it to the original defaults. I used it on my 3 year old to test if it would work on little fingers and it does perfectly. And when you’re not using it, it stores in it’s own little pouch.
