Healthy Snacking

Like most kids, mine are constantly grabbing snacks. They eat like the doctor recommends everyone should eat, with lots of grazing throughout the day.

As most moms know, it can be difficult to find healthy snacks that are appealing to kids.   Mine love fruit, but by the end of the week, we’re usually almost completely out. Which is hard to believe because I spend around $40.00 a week on fruit alone. The boys would love to have access to a cabinet full of chips and cookies, but we want them to eat healthier than that. So I don’t even buy it, that way it’s not even in the house.Last week a friend of mine told me about a fruit snack bar that she buys for her kids. It’s called: That’s It, and they offer fruit snack bars that are made of fruit…and like their name says…that’s it. 

My kids especially like the apple/cherry bar, which includes 1 apple and 10 cherries. They taste great, and don’t include added sugar or preservatives. Only natural, non-GMO fruits are used, so I feel comfortable keeping these stocked in our snack cabinet aka the pantry 🙂 They are good school snacks too the boys just love them.
