Okay, so we’re about to get a bit personal here. I was first introduced to Squatty Potty back in 2016 and we have never gone back. In this post, I am going to be featuring the Squatty Potty Slim Teak toilet stool. If you have never heard of Squatty Potty or maybe you have but want to know more, keep reading.
Squatty Potty Slim Teak Toilet Stool
Okay so let’s talk poop. Yea I know it’s not the type of conversation you would imagine having with me. Bear with me and trust that you’ll want to hear me out. Have you ever been to the bathroom for a number 2 only to find yourself straining to get it out? Be honest here… Or maybe you go but after you don’t feel quite empty.
When I first heard about Squatty Potty back in 2016 I was truly skeptical. Then I got the chance to try out the Original toilet stool (also available on Amazon). I couldn’t believe it does make a difference! Squatty Potty totally works. Now, it does take some getting used to. Honestly, it felt weird using it at first. It felt a little awkward to be sitting in that position. However, after feeling how easy it made pooping, I was hooked! After a few more uses, it now feels weird not using it. I like that there is also a Travel Porta Squatty (again also available on Amazon). This way I can take it whenever I am going out of town.
Let’s talk about the Squatty Potty Slim Teak.
Aside from the Original they now have the Squatty Potty Slim Teak (also on Amazon). I absolutely love the look of this toilet stool. Modern, sleek, and slim. This new style of Squatty Potty speaks to your urban sensibilities – your appreciation for simple, minimal design. Sculpted out of plywood, with a beautiful teak finish, Squatty Potty Slim Teak has both form and function. The Squatty Potty is a wonderful health aid for the entire family.
The Squatty Potty helps you to eliminate faster and more complete by putting your body into a natural squatting position over your own toilet. Using the Squatty Potty during elimination will un-kink your rectum taking your body from a continent mode to an elimination mode. This will speed up the elimination process, therefore, reducing the risk of toxic build-up of fecal matter left in your colon.
Using the squatty potty for elimination will reduce straining and decreases the pressure in the anal and rectal veins. The reduction of straining will help to heal and prevent hemorrhoids. It will also reduce the risk of bowel herniation and other damage to the lower digestive tract. The Squatty Potty is attractive and will discretely tuck under your toilet bowl when not in use. It’s designed with a forward slant to ergonomically align the body for a comfortable and complete elimination.
Children love the Squatty Potty. It is an excellent toilet training aid. It provides them with a place to support their feet which helps to remove the fear of falling. They also don’t have a need to hold onto the dirty toilet seat for balance.
This is such a great idea; I didn’t know that something like this existed! I can definitely see how this would help out a lot. This position is natural! Thank you so much for sharing.
This works. It’s amazing how many doctors will poo-poo that though. (Pun intended) But doctors know nothing of normal human functions, only illnesses. Consider the most common position they put you in for childbirth. PLEASE! Flat on your back with your legs in the air????
So true Sandy, they make childbirth harder than it should be. I for one know that when I had labor pains it felt natural to squat.
