Story Time Chess: The Ultimate Game to Teach Your Child Chess
As I mentioned above my boys love playing chess, and sometimes they play when my nieces are visiting. The youngest like most kids loves to be included but it’s hard for my boys to teach her how to play. That’s why when I learned about Story Time Chess I was very excited to try it out.
Story Time Chess is a revolutionary new game that teaches children as young as three how to play chess through fun and easy-to-understand stories. It is a TOY OF THE YEAR AWARD (which is equivalent to the OSCARS) winner and is now nominated for a Webby Award, a Stevie Award, and an ASTRA Best Toy for Kids Award.
I was surprised to see how much was included in this game. For starters, I love that Story Time Chess includes two cloth storage bags for the game pieces. As a parent, I love this because it makes keeping all the pieces together easy.
The game pieces it brings are adorable custom pieces that the kids use to play chess and several minigames.
Included is a storybook with fun stories that make learning to play chess fun and easy. The book also contains several minigames. Everything in the book is easy to understand and fun.
Then last but certainly not least is the gameboard. It has two sides that you will use.
Learning to play chess has many benefits like stronger critical thinking skills, and ability to plan ahead, improved executive functions, and so much more. Plus the younger you learn the more beneficial it is. That’s why I believe every child should learn to play chess. With Story Time Chess learning is easy and really fun!
