Expecting Sunshine: A Journey of Grief, Healing and Pregnancy After Loss ~ Book Review
Unfortunately, I have had my share of experiences when it comes to loss. (You can read more about that here) One of my biggest losses has to be when I suffered a miscarriage back in 2010. It is something that I will always carry with me. I will remember my girls always and they are always in my heart. When this happened I felt like no one understood my pain and so alone. My hubby, of course, had also suffered this loss, but his way of handling it was so different from mine. And he still doesn’t like to talk about it.
After reading Expecting Sunshine by Alexis Marie Chute one thought came to my mind… I wish I had read this book when my loss happened. This is an excellent book for anyone who has experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth, or the death of an infant.
I liked that it focuses on all of the aspects of dealing with this kind of trauma and helps one get in touch with ways to cope. I read this book cover to cover, even through the tears! Through the book, I felt that Alexis understood exactly how I felt at that time and how I still feel. Alexis has shared her personal story in such a way you are inspired to carry on and realize you are not alone in your thoughts and feelings.
I highly recommend this book for anyone going through this kind of experience and believe it is a must on the bookshelves of pastors, counselors, maternity nurses, and anyone who encounters these kinds of situations. It is an excellent resource to distribute to grieving families.

It sounds like a good book, one that will help those suffering through a loss find ways to cope. Just knowing there is someone who has gone through it would help, I think.
Depression is so real and so hard to go through. This sounds like some great reading. Thank you so much for sharing
