Thank goodness for prepping!
This Thanksgiving was absolutely great. I actually prepped the night before, which is something that I don’t usually do. I know crazy right!!! Honestly though other than marinating the turkey I never prepped the day before any Thanksgiving. I will never make that mistake again…EVER! Thanks to all that prepping I had everything cooking or in the oven in enough time to actually sit down and watch the entire parade. I love watching the parade year after year with my boys. Usually I’m in the kitchen and they yell for me so I can come see a cool float or balloon. 🙂 This year however Thanksgiving was so relaxed that I actually enjoyed myself more than usual.
Our Thanksgiving menu this year consisted of the turkey (of course), mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, glazed ham, green beans with sauteed onions & bell peppers, cranberry sauce and of course gravy. If you want any of these recipes let me know and I’ll share them.
After dinner we watched movies, the boys watched Shaun The Sheep and we watched San Andreas and The Gift. All of these were great!
So tell me…. What did you do this Thanksgiving?
