My mom threw a fun Valentine’s party for my friends. 🙂 That is my favorite memory.
Having Valentine’s parties at schhol were my favorite.
I remember making Valenting mailboxes at school and handing out everyone a Valentine. It was so exciting to see who left a Valentine in your box and to see what it said! If they came with a sucker or piece of candy they were extra special!
WE GAVE EACH OF OUR CLASSMATES A VALENTINE AND I WENT TO A ONE ROOM SCHOOL WITH FIRST GRADE THRU EIGHT GRADE…IT WAS A COMPETITION TO SEE WHO GOT THE MOST….THAT WAS A LONG, LONG TIME AGO
I always loved when we exchanged valentine cards at school
My stepdad always gave my mother a large chocolate heart and smaller one for my sister and me.
I don’t really remember a lot as a child but I do remember always (even into my late teens) waking up on Valentines morning to a little treat of some sort left by my Mom. That always made the day special for me and as a Mom now myself, I try to always do the same for my kids, no matter how old they get.
I remember there was a little boy that would chase my kids and pin them down and kiss them when I was young. I remember helping those friends carefully select the weirdest valentine to give to him, since we had to give every one in the class a valentine. It was our little inside joke and way at getting back at him. That memory makes me giggle. Thanks for the chance!
I remember getting the box of chocolate with all of the choices. We didn’t usually get much candy so this was really a treat.
My favorite Valentine’s memory as a child was having a Valentines/Birthday party with my friends since it was my birthday too.
As a child, I have fond memories of my Dad bringing home a big box of Russell Stover chocolates. It was (and still is!) so much fun to see the wide assortment of candies.
I liked cutting hearts out of construction paper and lace doilies and the smell of store bought valentines
My favorite memory is making valentines with my grandparents
my favorite valentines day memory is getting valentines cards in kindergarden(: All we cared about then was the candy lol.
I don’t have a lot of memories of Valentine’s Day as a child even though my father and brother were named Valentine. I do remember my mother storing an empty Valentine’s heart in her closet and it had ants in it. She should have thrown it out but it was too pretty.
When I was young, my mother would bake sugar cookies in the shape of hearts for breakfast.
I just remember being so excited one year I got a single rose and some chocolates and I felt like such a big kid because only the big kids got roses!
My favorite Valentine’s memory as a child was getting cards from friends. 🙂
I remember how much fun it was to make and decorate Velentine boxes to use at school for our Valentine cards.
I loved selecting the boxed valentines to give to my school classmates. Great holiday!
