Pecan Pie

 

Having lived in Houston for over 4 years in a little two bedroom house that was surrounded by pecan trees I was able to make my pecan pie recipe perfect! I hope that you will like this recipe as much as my family does. 

Ingredients:

3 Eggs 

3/4 C Sugar

4 Tbsp Butter, softened

1/2 tsp Salt

1 tsp. Vanilla extract

1/2 C Light corn syrup

1/2 C Honey

1 1/2 C Pecan halves

1 (9 inch) Pie crust, unbaked

Directions:

1. Heat oven to 350 °F .

2. In a mixing bowl beat eggs until fluffy (about 7-8 minutes)

3. In a seperate mixing bowl, stir together sugar, butter, salt, vanilla, syrup and honey.

4. Gently fold  mixture into eggs.

5. Gently fold in pecans.

6. Pour filling into pie crust.

7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, until the filling is set and is no longer soft in the center.

8. Let cool completely before serving.

Enjoy!

I absolutely love it with a dollop of whipped cream. 😉
