Combining their talents to bring two playfully educational children’s books about industrious bugs to life is the creative team of author, illustrator, and photographer William Dandurand (whose grandfather, Ray Lowe, worked for Disney); authors Mary Cohen and Elisabeth Revel; illustrator Gary Revel Jr.; and author and publisher Gary Revel.
Fly Patrol and The Adventures of Hillary the Little Ladybug use a blend of original illustrations and photography in the telling of two stories that point out how hard-working the tiny bugs that share our world have to be to survive and thrive.

Fly Patrol
From author, photographer, and illustrator William Dandurand (whose grandfather, Ray Lowe, worked for Disney), and author Gary Revel, shares the story of an elite squadron of flies that serves to protect innocent flies looking for food. The flies must be protected not only from humans but also from a mysterious intruder-fly. When Commander Ace is injured in battle, a young cadet named Sargent Hot Sauce must prove herself by assuming command of the Fly Patrol during the heat of battle. The war will continue and will never end until humans share their food with the flies.
The Adventures of Hillary the Little Ladybug
From the creative team of authors Mary Cohen and Elisabeth Revel, illustrator/photographer William Dandurand, and illustrator Gary Revel Jr. tells the story of an exceptionally gifted ladybug who does well in school and dreams of becoming Queen of Ladybug Land. One day, as she is flying to school, she is taught a valuable life lesson when a Praying Mantis begins to target her classmates. This is the first book in the series of Hillary the Little Ladybug adventures.
The original illustration of Hillary the Little Ladybug is by American-born Gary Revel Jr., a 2006 Finnish Star Winner who lived in Finland for 16 years. Revel Jr. has received acclaim for his singing, dancing, and acting in Hollywood, California, and in Finland.
