I love to color so I have many coloring books, Today I am sharing with you my latest favorite. The Simpler Times Coloring Book has quickly become a favorite of mine because of the illustrations it contains. Keep reading to find out more about it.

I was first drawn to this book not because it’s a coloring book but because it’s from Jim Shore. From Christmas to every day, from Disney to Peanuts to the Grinch, Jim Shore has made a household name for himself carving figurines that combine the imagery of these iconic themes with a traditional folk art style. His work sings Americana and has been reaching fans worldwide for decades. I own a few of his figurines and they are my favorites!
So I was excited to hear that he released his first-ever coloring book in August. Simpler Times is filled with Jim’s designs in coloring book form. The illustrations are inspired by folk art and include birds, village scenes, angels, and so much more. I also liked that each page is one-sided and perforated. The illustrations are calming perfect for any day you need to wind down and relax.
