I love drinking water and drink at least 64 oz of water a day! I do find that when I’m drinking infused water I drink even more than that.

We’ve all heard the health benefits of proper hydration. Those benefits include increased energy levels, improved metabolism, glowing skin, boosts in immunity, and even better digestion. But the true question here is: who wants to drink bland water all day? Personally I don’t mind drinking plain water, but I love infused water! My mom on the other hand can’t stand plain water. She needs to have some flavor, and there is nothing wrong with that. Especially with all the amazing combinations of infused waters available.

Getting your 8 daily glasses of water a day doesn’t have to be boring! Stay hydrated with these 5 homemade infused waters, courtesy of Terra’s Kitchen.

To get started, you’ll need a wide mouth bottle, your choice of fresh fruit, water and ice. You don’t need a fancy infuser bottle, but we do recommend choosing a glass bottle or if you prefer plastic, one that is BPA-free.

The trick to an infused water is to add your fruit FIRST then ice, then water. This helps to better infuse your water by keeping the fruit at the middle or bottom of your bottle.

Here are some of our favorite flavor combinations to get you started:

Lemon, Raspberry + Rosemary
Cucumber, Jalapeno + Mint
Orange, Basil + Blueberry
Lime + Ginger
Lemon, Turmeric + Honey

Since these infused waters are made with fresh fruit, you need to keep them cold or drink them right away. You can add fresh fruit like strawberries or blueberries to your next meal delivery order from Terra’s Kitchen. They’re ideal as snacks or for using in your own recipes or for infused waters.
