2017 Pink Ribbon Mat Collection ~ Available at Carpet One
I love welcome mats, I feel like those are the first impression to the home. I am also a big supporter of breast cancer awareness. That’s why I love having items that show my pink ribbon pride. Carpet One has come together with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation to bring us another year of the beautiful Pink Ribbon Mat Collection. This year’s pink ribbon mat collection features 18 designs. This year’s design inspirations are truly personal with contributions from interior designers, as well as rising star graphic designers, along with popular favorites for pet lovers, gardeners and more!
These beautiful mats will be available in participating Carpet One Floor & Home stores throughout the U.S. and Canada beginning in October.
Interior design experts Melissa Davis and Lisa Mende, who pull from their personal experience to create dramatic, impactful mats that fit any home decor. In addition, graphic design artist Justin Niederkorn, a senior designer for an international non-profit agency, tapped his artistic talent and love for the women in his life, to create a mat that graphically tells the important story of a breast exam. Mikayla Chandler, a Savannah College of Art & Design advertising and illustration sophomore, created a powerful image of lines that seem almost inter-connected, and resemble the shape of a breast, swoop of a cup and wisps of hair. The two graphic designers have created edgy and thought-provoking artwork that add to the fashionable and functional collection.
I love that these mats are so much more than just welcome mats. You can place them anywhere in your home. I absolutely adore my mat which is the Frosty friends one that I showed at the top of the post. Here it is again:
It is a great thickness and it’s made with high quality materials as you can see in this picture below.
I have my mat in the kitchen right in front of my sink. I plan on getting another one to use as an actual welcome mat.
Another thing I love about this collection is that for each $24.99 ($34.99 CDN) mat sold, 25 percent of the proceeds directly support the five-star rated Breast Cancer Research Fund. To date, the company has raised almost $1 million from mat sales.
