Unboxing the May 2017 Brick Loot Box

My boys love everything that has to do with LEGO Bricks, so it’s no surprise that they would enjoy a subscription box like Brick Loot. This year for Diego’s birthday Brick Loot was awesome enough to send him a May Brick Loot box to review. He had always wanted to check one of these boxes out. And he was not dissapointed.

For those of you that haven’t heard of Brick Loot. This is a monthly subscription box that brings custom brick kits, Minifigures, LEGO and brick accessories from various manufacturers (all LEGO compatible) and Brick Loot exclusives.

They ship to: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, France, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Australia (Shipping: $6 USA, $13 CA, $15 All Others).

The Cost of this box is: $27 a month + shipping for the monthly subscription, $25 a month + shipping for the three month subscription, and $24.95 a month + shipping for the six month subscription.
Right now (there are only 9 days left as of today to order the June box) you can use Coupon Code: kidceo for $5 off new subscriptions CLICK HERE to subscribe or find out more.

The May box had a Back To The Future Theme or as Brick Loot calls it “Brick To The Future”. I was super ecstatic about this box because I am a HUGE Back To The Future fan.

Inside there were so many goodies, let’s take a look at them.

For starters this box brought the Flux Capacitor to build that is an exclusive build for Brick Loot. Which Back To The Future fan wouldn’t want one of these. Who doesn’t remember the Flux capacitor right? To go along with the Flux Capacitor there is an LED Light Kit.

There was also an exclusive art print by Greg Hyland. Greg Hyland is a writer, illustrator, designer and artist who has worked on LEGO lines such as The LEGO Movie and LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. Diego already got a frame for this print and has it hanging in his room.

A 16 X 16 blue base plate. Brick Loot is now selling baseplate bundles in different sizes, which is great. We always love getting more baseplates because Diego likes to build his own creations and they always start with a basic baseplate. We also received a Minifigure Sticker Pack.

These stickers make it easy to turn any minifigure into Back To The Future characters. Here is a picture of all of the great things in this box all together.

All in all we think that Brick Loot is a fun subscription for any LEGO fan. The value of this month’s box is $48, although I have seen reviews of other months where the box has had more value. But it’s normal of a subscription box to vary in the monthly value. We would have loved it if this box had more that one build in the box and maybe a minifigure. This theme definitely gave me a fun walk down memory lane. And it made Diego want to see the Back To The Future movies.

What do you think of Brick Loot and this month’s box?
