Our Review Of Disney’s Newest Film Moana

2017-disclosure

Yesterday we had the amazing opportunity to see a screening of Disney’s newest movie Moana! We were very excited since we got to see it prior to it’s upcoming release on November 23rd! We arrived at the theater early since we knew we had a line we had to wait in. But even while waiting the excitement was felt and shown everywhere.

The movie itself was amazing from the start! The music was incredible and had us dancing and singing along even though we had never heard it before. We all loved the movie for different reasons. I for one loved this movie because of the love and connection between Moana and her grandmother.

Their connection reminded me so much of the connection between my grandma and me. Even though my grandma is no longer with me physically, I know she’s with me in spirit. That is exactly what is shown in this movie. When Moana’s grandma passes, she stays with Moana and helps her on her journey.

My oldest two loved the movie because of the friendship between Moana and the demigod Maui.

Their friendship has it’s ups and downs. But in the end it shows how true friends always are there for one another.

My youngest loved the movie because of HeiHei and Pua.

HeiHei is a funny little chicken and Moana’s sidekick. Pua is an adorable little piglet and friend of Moana’s. Together they each give the movie lots of funny moments.

This movie had everything we could ask for and have come to expect from Disney. We left the movie wanting to immediately see it again with our friends and family this Thanksgiving weekend. If you are planning a family outing to the movies this holiday weekend or anytime soon definitely check out Disney’s Moana!
