This is the third Mellanni product we have and we absolutely love it! We chose this mattress pad topper for our 12 inch memory foam mattress to keep cool and add a bit of “plush.” Our mattress is very supportive, and soft on top, and we wanted to extend the life of the top layer of memory foam while retaining the soft pampering feeling. The extra layer this provides between the mattress and body not only keeps us cooler, but also makes the bed that much more luxurious feeling.
I had my concerns that this mattress plush topper wouldn’t fit or stay in position on the bed, since it is a large mattress, but it is well designed and it hasn’t moved at all. Regardless of what “activities” are taking place, it stays where it’s supposed to. In fact, I think the design is the primary reason it stays in place so well. Because it stays in place it also keeps my fitted sheets in place too. This is really nice because it makes making the bed nice and quick.
It’s a well-made product; the stitching seems durable and it feels like it will last. I haven’t noticed any decompression or lack of “fluff” from it, no matter how, or how long I lay. It *is* extra plush, so it’s perfect at softening a firm or supportive mattress. If you’re looking to add support, this is not what you want. This product is designed solely to make your sleep feel like you’re floating on a cloud, and it delivers. This product, in combination with our bed setup, has made sleeping restful again.
I used to wake up several times during the night sore because of laying in the same position. However since I started using this mattress pad topper I sleep through the night. I will definitely be buying this product for the other beds in my house.
