BODYARMOR SuperDrink™ hydrates my family at soccer games.

Disclosure

If you follow me here or on my social media then you know that I’m a HUGE soccer mom! All 3 of my boys play and I absolutely love it! One thing that I always make sure is that my boys stay well hydrated. Especially on tournament days when the two oldest play 3-4 games in one day. So when I heard about BODYARMOR SuperDrink™, I couldn’t help but be intrigued.

We were sent a six pack of flavors to try out. They are: Lemon Lime, Orange Mango, Tropical Punch, Mixed Berry, Strawberry Banana and Fruit Punch. The main thing that made me want to try out BODYARMOR SuperDrink™ is that it’s a natural sports drink made with coconut water and no flavors, colors or sweeteners. Which for me makes it a better alternative to other leading sports drinks.

You guys know that I give totally unbiased reviews, so I will tell you about the good and the bad about this sport drink. Let’s get started…

The Good…

As a mom I really like that it’s got some healthy looking things in it like coconut water (10%), Green Tea Catechins (Which makes me want to know what’s a catechin?) and apple extract (um…is that juice?). Each serving (each bottle has 2 servings) has 300mg of Potassium, 200% RDI of B3, B5, B6, B9, and B12,and has 100% RDI of Vitamins A, C, and E. It also contains Magnesium to keep your muscles functioning at a high level. There is also no caffeine or preservatives.

Taste wise BODYARMOR SuperDrink™ tastes great. My boys absolutely love it, Which doesn’t surprise me since it’s has 15 to 17 grams of sugar in it (that’s per serving) and each bottle has 2 servings in it. When my boys first tried it out the two oldest said it tasted like a “juice” drink that comes in a pouch. I think you know the ones.

The Bad…

Honestly there’s only 1 thing on the bad list, that would be that BODYARMOR SuperDrink™ has as much sugar as Gatorade or Powerade. So because this has 4 teaspoons of sugar in 1 serving (each bottle has 2 servings) it means that each bottle has about 8 teaspoons of sugar or 30 to 35 grams. It’s really not that huge a deal for us because I have always mixed 1/2 sport drink with 1/2 water before the boys drink it.

The verdict….

In our house my boys do drink sport drinks, so the real question here is… Is BODYARMOR SuperDrink™ good enough to make us switch over? The answer is YES! My boys like BODYARMOR SuperDrink™ so much more than those other sport drinks, so absolutely we will be switching.
