As for the handles, in the begining I had to press it using both hands (I think that has to do with the size of the garlic clove), but once I got it started the round handles are comfortable to grip. The garlic minces very fine through the holes. The only thing left behind in the basket is the membrane (trust me you don’t want it in your food), so discard it. You can even put a clove that has skin on it in the basket and mince it and it still works great. The skin will remain in the basket for discarding.
