Why do guys name their penis?

I’ve always wondered why do guys name their penis. I mean, it’s it an ego thing? Or is it because of size? I once had a boyfriend who called his “The Rock”. He was the first guy that I had heard call his penis a name.  I thought it was funny at first.  But it did kind of feel a little weird when he would say ” The Rock wants to come play with you.” I always wanted to reply “Dwayne Johnson, really, that’s awesome!” Hahaha he would get a little upset because I would start to laugh.  I wasn’t laughing at what he called it.  It was more of what I would think of when he called it that. Anyway, I did think it was a little weird so one day.  I asked a few guy friends if that was something that was common.  I was shocked to find out that every single one of them had named theirs. Here are some of the names I heard: baby-maker baloney pony beef whistle bratwurst burrito chopper chub deep-V diver dragon drum stick love rod fudgesickle fun stick jackhammer Jimmy longfellow love muscle love stick meat popsicle throbbing python of love Pied Piper It appears that  the word “Penis” may have more synonyms than any other word in the English language.
