Make Your Own Salsa for National Tortilla Chip Day

We always have salsa in our house. My husband likes to use it on everything not just with chips. But with National Chip Day (Feb. 24) here of course salsa is a must. So when I heard of the Vidalia Chop Wizard, I knew it would be perfect for us. I couldn’t wait to make my own salsa.

Here is a recipe that I know you will enjoy. *Recipe courtesy of AllRecipes.com reprinted with permission by 5W Public Relations.

Fresh Tomato Salsa

3 cups chopped tomatoes
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 cup onion, diced
1/4 cup minced fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
4 teaspoons chopped fresh jalapeno pepper (including seeds)
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions:
Stir the tomatoes, green bell pepper, onion, cilantro, lime juice, jalapeno pepper, cumin, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Serve.
