About The Book…

If You Can Dream It, You Can Achieve It!

New Children’s Book Set In The African Savanna Teaches Children The Power Of Believing In Their Wildest Dreams!

Did you know that there is a secret to achieving your dreams? Yes, even your wildest goals can become realities when you use this powerful secret. Just a warning: there will be naysayers along the way. But the great news is, the secret is for them too!

In the new children’s book Dream Big (Greenleaf Book Group, January 2017), written by Kat Kronenberg and illustrated by Belgium-based artist Stephanie Dehennin, readers go back in time to the wilds of East Africa where a moody Baboon learns this powerful secret.

He watches Caterpillar, Tadpole, and Flamingo gaze up at the night sky and wish upon a star for their wildest dreams. Baboon scoffs at each animal, reminding them that their dreams are impossible. But when he sees Caterpillar turn into a winged butterfly, Tadpole into a dancing frog, and Flamingo into a beautiful pink bird, Baboon realizes that a transformative power exists between the stars and the animals once they truly believe in themselves and their dreams.

Baboon decides to try out their secret with a real big smile of belief in himself and his dream and CATCH-M—his Magical, Mystical, Wished-Upon Star—whooshes down from the heavens to—wham!—ignite the courage in his chest too. What happens next is fantastic.

Kronenberg, a born-and-raised Texan with a huge dream, mother and grandmother, and someone who has faced a lot of loss in her life, created the book in hopes to fill a need she increasingly sees in both children and parents to live their best lives despite any heartache or hardship. Through its beautiful illustrations and easy-to-understand, encouraging words, Dream Big addresses a variety of themes including believing in oneself, in others, and the power of our dreams. An interactivity section is also provided in the back, which includes ideas for arts and crafts and musical activities to enhance the mission behind the book. The activities especially promote the magical act of smiling as a way to ignite faith in oneself and the incredible beauty of everything that surrounds us.

Proceeds from Dream Big will benefit the Me to We organization, an incredible group that shows how one person can make a difference. Started in 1995 by a 12-year-old boy, this youth-empowered worldwide movement seeks “to educate, engage, and empower young people as agents of change.”

“I have come to truly believe if we smile all the way up from our belly with a complete belief in ourselves and our dream, we can open our life to connect to all that is, to possibility, to divine light, to the transformative power that can change a caterpillar into a butterfly,” Kronenberg says.

Uplifting, fun, and interactive, Dream Big addresses:

  • The importance of believing in your dreams
  • How nature can be one of our greatest teachers
  • Developing an attitude of gratitude
  • How our smiles have the power to connect and transform
  • The value of trusting that the universe has our best interests at heart

And much more!
