If there is one thing I always like to tell my boys is that the best things in life are absolutely worth the struggle. I try to teach them determination not just by talking to them but also through my actions. I love finding books that teach the things the boys and I talk about. That is why when I heard about The Little Linebacker I knew it would be a great addition to our family library.
The Little Linebacker by Stephen Tulloch and Maria Dismondy is a wonderful story about determination! We are big football fans and the boys were so excited to know that even a great NFL player like Stephen Tulloch could be an author. This has actually given my oldest the idea to start writing his own stories to hopefully publish someday.
In this book Stephen tells the story of his life and how his love for football started at a really young age. This was great for Aaron to hear since he loves soccer and hopes to be an MLS player someday. See, I told you this was a great book for us. Steven’s story though, teaches us to keep going through all the hardships and believe that we can do whatever we set our minds to, and do them no matter how hard things get or are! This is such a great lesson and the main reason we all loved this book.
