DIY “Frankie” Treats for Halloween!

When I heard about Sour Jacks and their contest (ends 10/30) to win a year’s supply of their candy, I couldn’t wait to enter! Sour Jacks want to challenge you to create a trick ‘or’ treat / Halloween inspired design, using the newest flavors; Lemonade, Wildberry and Green Apple. I thought this “Frankie” Treat would be perfect! It’s super easy so I wanted to share with you how to make them.
Ingredients:
Sour Jacks in Green Apple
Rice Krispies Treats
White frosting
Chocolate frosting
Green food coloring
Directions:
Take some white frosting and add a couple drops of food coloring. Mix it well to combine, keep adding drops of food coloring until you reach the shade of green you desire. (I had to use 4 drops)
Spread green frosting over the Rice Krispie Treat, I only covered the front and the 2 long sides.
Next I took a star tip and piped chocolate frosting for the hair and eyes. I used a toothpick to make a thin mouth and the forehead scar.
Then I took 2 Green Apple Sour Jacks and sliced the wedge off both of them. I used 1 wedge for the nose and the 2 bottoms for the sides. (I couldn’t resist and ate the other wedge)
That’s it you’re done! I loved how they came out! Repeat for as many treats as you want to make.
