JORD Wood Watches – Hand-crafted wood timepieces that tell a story

When I got an email asking me if I would review a JORD Wood Watch, I almost passed at the chance. I honestly had no idea what to expect from a wood watch. I imagined it would be stiff, uncomfortable, heavy and rough to the touch. I mean it is wood…right, but I decided to give it a try. I took a look at the JORD Wood Watches website and was pleasantly surprised at how many gorgeous designs they have. It was hard to narrow it down to the one I wanted to try. I chose the Delmar Dark Sandalwood for my hunny.

Isn’t it gorgeous? I knew my hunny would love it!! I ordered it and couldn’t wait for it to arrive. When it did arrive, I had my hunny open the package. The wooden storage box it came in is very well crafted. I like that the lid slides off to open it. Inside was a watch that was absolutely gorgeous, even more than it looked on the website. I also liked that it came wrapped around a little pillow. This helps the watch keep it’s shape.

The first thing I noticed was how light this watch is. Don’t get me wrong, it has a nice weight to it but not over heavy. The next thing I really liked was how smooth the watch is. I also love the face of it. The face is a deep iris blue carbon fiber, which looks fabulous against the dark sandalwood! It has a stainless steel clasp that holds the watch securely on. JORD Wood Watches offers many watches that range in color and style. There are Mechanically Driven wooden watches that let you see the inner makings of the watch, watches made of Bamboo that have a creative face, dual wood watches, and watches like the one I received that is solid wood. They offer watches for men and women and all of them have scratch resistant faces and are splash proof. Keep in mind that doesn’t mean they are waterproof. A feature of these watches that I love is that no watch is the same, because the grain and colors of the woods vary so each watch is definitely unique. In addition, these watches come with one year of limited warranty protection.

My hunny loves that he can wear this watch with anything. Whether dressed up or in jeans and a t-shirt. Watches are most definitely back and now they’re made of wood!
