Unboxing This Month’s GlobeIn Artisan Box: Laundry

Disclosure

This month I was so glad to receive the GlobeIn Artisan Box to share with you. I had heard so many wonderful things about the GlobeIn Artisan Box Subscription. For those of you that may not be familiar with it: The GlobeIn Artisan Gift Box is a monthly subscription that sends you original crafts by global artisans. Each box contains handcrafted items from around the world and the stories (my favorite part) of the artists who made the pieces. Like I mentioned earlier this month’s theme is Laundry.

Honestly I can’t stand doing laundry. And it seems that as soon as the laundry basket is empty, it fills right back up. With the wonderful goodies that came in this box, laundry was more manageable. 🙂 When it first arrived in a box that was clearly labeled “GlobeIn” I was super excited!

I opened it immediately and loved how everything was neatly packaged.

I absolutely loved that this box came with an info booklet that does a great job explaining the theme. Also inside this booklet I found in detail information about each maker and their product. There are also details about the fair trade practices, community support initiatives, etc. This booklet not only gave me great insight as to who GlobeIn is, it made me feel real good about this subscription box

The first thing I pulled out of the box was this Palm Leaf Basket. It has a value of $12. Some of the contents came packaged in this palm leaf basket. I absolutely love the bright blue color, and design. It is great to store my mini perfumes.

Next item I took out of the box were these Wool Dryer Balls. The set of 3 wool dryer balls with a Kyrgyzstan value of $15. These wool dryer balls are designed to be a natural alternative to dryer sheets, they help prevent static, wrinkles, and cut down drying times. GlobeIn also recommends adding a few drops of essential oil to the dryer balls for scented laundry. I tried it out with lavender oil and it was great! These wool dryer balls came in a beautiful FairTrade Cotton Bag with an India (HAE Now) value of $2.50. I absolutely loved this bag.

Next I found this Soap Nuts Sampler. This sampler has a Nepal (Green Virgin Products) value of $2. This was the first time I had seen anything like these. To use these, you put them in the bag that’s included and add them to your next load of laundry instead of regular laundry detergent. I haven’t tried these out yet, but I do plan on giving them a try. If you have used these and have any tips, please let me know.

Last but most certainly not least was this YFK Upcycled Laundry Bag from Cambodia with a value of $25. This bag is so big it truly is a perfect size for a laundry bag. This bag definitely holds a lot of laundry! I have also used it for my BJ’s Wholesale Club trips and as a beach bag! I am sure I will use it for so many more things.

GlobeIn really got me excited about doing laundry. I think this is a useful and unique box. The GlobeIn Artisan Gift Box truly is worth it’s cost.

I’d love to try this one out. You get such unique items from around the globe. I’m sure there are things you could gift to “the person who has everything.”
