Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead 2, the sequel to the smash hit documentary that started a global wellness movement!

Those of you who have been following My Silly Little Gang know of the weight loss that I have been trying to accomplish and little by little I’m getting there. I had the opportunity to go to the theatrical preview of Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead 2 last night. After seeing Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead 2 I have been introduced to a new way of thinking! This is such an enlightening and inspiring documentary feature. I made a decision about half way through the film That I will be doing my own Reboot, and I started today! So far It’s been hard and I’ve only been at it for 4 hours. I already know it’s going to be an extremely LONG day! However I WILL be completing the Reboot! I will be posting my day to day experiences here on the blog so keep an eye out. Now I had not seen he first movie but had heard so much about it, let me tell you a little more.

Joe Cross’ first film “Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead” chronicled his personal journey of transformation as he spent 60 days driving across the U.S consuming nothing but the fresh juice of fruits and vegetables in an attempt to regain his vitality, lose weight and rid himself of a chronic auto-immune disease. Along the way, he met and inspired a broad spectrum of Americans, and learned about the challenges and obstacles that have created a global epidemic of obesity and behavioral-related illness. The film which was released almost four years ago has been seen by almost 20 million people around the world, and ignited a movement of juicing and plant-based eating. Cross has since created an online community of almost a million members, released a best-selling book The Reboot with Joe Juice Diet and its companion The Reboot with Joe Juice Diet Cookbook, and appeared on television all over the world. “Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead 2” is a continuation of his story, fueled by his curiosity about how a person can stay healthy in an unhealthy world. Featuring interviews with medical leaders, average folks and success stories from the first film, the sequel explores broader themes of how to achieve – and more importantly, maintain – a healthy life, beyond simple dietary choices.

The film will have a global release on Nov 18 and is already available for pre-sale on iTunes

I will also have the opportunity to review Joe Cross’ best-selling book The Reboot with Joe Juice Diet

I’ve seen Fat, Sick & Nearly dead and it was incredibly eye opening. My issue wasn’t that I needed to lose weight but that I was just all around unhealthy. He inspired me to just get healthier. I didn’t juice, but cleaned up my eating and lifestyle, started taking vitamins and have noticed a HUGE difference in my health. I’m glad he did another documentary because people need to hear what he has to say!
