Sweet Potato Fries Recipe

I am going to share a little known fact about me…I’m not only addicted to desserts, I have a serious obsession with sweet potato fries. And by serious I mean it’s probably getting a little out of hand. I tend to get them whenever, wherever I can. lol Which is why when it comes to fries I’m all for guilt-free indulgences, aren’t you? These salty, sweet, crunchy, sweet potato fries are my new favorite indulgence. You can even make they spicy if you want! Here’s this great recipe:

Ingredients:

4 very large Sweet potatoes

2 teaspoons of cornstarch

1 tablespoon Olive Oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Cayenne Pepper to taste

Directions:

1. Wash, peel, and chop the sweet potatoes up into long thin rectangles with a very, very sharp knife. you can choose how thin or thick you want them. I like mine like me… a little on the thick side.

2. Place fries and cornstarch into a large zip lock bag and shake shake shake. I love this part 😉

3. After they’re coated with cornstarch, Place them on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and sprinkle with the olive oil, salt, pepper and Cayenne pepper if you are using it. Make sure they have a bit of space in between each fry. The less fries on the pan, the better because too many fries squished together will just steam them and not let them bake.

4. Bake for 15 minutes in a 400 F degree oven.

5. Remove from the oven and flip them over.

6. Bake them for another 10-15 minutes.

7. Turn the oven off completely and crack the door open.

8. Keep the fries inside the open oven and let them stay there for about 30 minutes. This will help the fries get crispier. Who doesn’t love a crispy fry, right?

Serve & Enjoy!
