Overwhelmed With Emotions

 

This has been such an emotional week for me. It all started Friday of last week when it really hit me that my baby sister (who’s already 21) is getting married! I am so happy that she has found such an amazing man to share the rest of her life with. I have always been very protective of her and have felt that I should always (like I do with my boys) protect her from anything that could possibly harm her and want nothing but the best for her. I still remember her first birthday like it was yesterday…

We have shared so many wonderful and fun filled moments, like all sisters should.

If I would have had the choice of picking someone for her to spend her life with it would most definitely have to be someone like her fiance Franklin.

 

I am so proud of her!

So from being happy and proud, I went to being melancholy on Mother’s day. I celebrated mother’s day with my mom, sis, soon-to-be brother in-law, my niece, hubby and of course my wonderful boys!  but I was melancholy because I missed my grandma, and I still can’t believe that my boys are getting so big! My oldest turns 9 next week, the baby turned 3 two weeks ago, the middle guy is 7. Ugh it just makes me wish I could stop time and get more moments with their silly, rambunctious, over energized little selves. I hate that they’re growing up so fast. I hate that my grammy didn’t get a chance to see them grow. I hate knowing that even though I wish I could hug her again I can’t.

I miss her so much…

Then I also went the entire weekend with severe dental pain and had to get my wisdom teeth extracted on Monday. So I’ve had pain along with everything else. I know that this weekend I’m still going to be an emotional wreck because On Saturday is my sisters wedding and on Sunday my middle guy has a soccer tournament. All in all I am proud of the woman, daughter, sister, wife and most importantly mother I’ve become!
